The Final Word:

Oops…..….evil candle – next in line to be banned once we have gotten rid of electricity

Diversity includes celebrating those with ‘unique’ cultural points of view – mine just happens to include enjoying electricity and heat……

Earth Hour is on us again – except in North Korea where it seems it is always earth hour, every day, every week, every year.

Mind you, if you plan to emit CO2 in an environmentally friendlyTMeco dancing sort of way, then you get a pass from the star…..

Me?  I plan to celebrate earth hour in Orlando FLA, with the AC maxed and an extra chilled beer or three…

re-education in three, two, one……

  1. Oh that is just asking for trouble, but I won’t take the bait. Clearly you knew that Kingstonist was posting a pro-Earth Day piece today, and you wanted to offer up a hill billy-esque contrast to that. Am I right or what?

Sorry – earth hour is more utter foolishness by those who like to interfere in your life. Creeping statism by un-elected single issue folks doing an end run around democracy. See comment at http://www.kingstonist.com

My question is, how many lights will Al (vote for me) Gore turn off in his house? You know, the one with the Carbon Footprint (and surface area) the size of a small european country? Or will he just buy more “carbon credits” from himself (you do have to admit that’s a nice touch)? Just asssskkiinngg……..

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron'scruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. C.S. Lewis
